This is my 27th year in education, and I am excited to continue my teaching journey in second grade this year! I  have already had the opportunity to teach both third and fourth grade, and am excited to work with this age group and watch students grow both academically and personally.

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and my master’s degree in Reading from Adams State University. I look forward to creating a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a daughter who is starting high school, and my husband recently retired from teaching after a career in education. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me reading, gardening, or cooking. I am looking forward to another wonderful year of learning, growing, and making memories with my students!

My Name is Elyse Vogel and I am thrilled to be joining the second grade team at Peakview! While I have been a part of the Cherry Creek School District for the last 15 years teaching kindergarten, I am so excited to be continuing my teaching journey at Peakview! Second grade is such a milestone year full of immense growth, new discoveries, and fun challenges, and I can’t wait to embark on this journey alongside your children. 

I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies and Early Childhood Education and earned my Master's Degree in teaching Reading. 

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children. We love playing board games and going paddle boarding together.
