I am entering my 8th year at Challenge School and my 19th year of teaching! I am the department coordinator for CHL neurodiverse students and primarily co-plan and co-teach with elementary students. I have worked with gifted students PK-12th grade and have my doctorate in gifted education. Outside of school I love spending time with my twin daughters who are in 6th grade this year!
I’m so excited to be joining this amazing community. This is my 10th year with Cherry Creek Schools and my 16th year of teaching. As a third-year teacher of neurodiverse students, I’m especially looking forward to working with 5th–8th grade classes this year.
When I’m not at school, you’ll probably find me out on the golf course, hiking a trail, or paddle boarding on a lake. I also love traveling, reading, and diving into home remodeling projects. I have two awesome adult kids and a wonderful daughter-in-law who keep life fun and full. Looking forward to an incredible year together!
This is my second year at Challenge School and my 8th year in education. I work with kindergarten, second, and third graders at Challenge. Prior to this year, I was a first grade and kindergarten teacher in various districts in Colorado, Nebraska, and South Dakota. My passion is supporting gifted students, and I am so excited to be a part of the Challenge community.
Outside of school I love spending time with my family and all things Colorado (hiking, paddleboarding, etc.). I also love to learn and recently completed a graduate certificate in Educational Neuroscience from Butler University. Currently, I am finishing up a graduate certificate program in Literacy. I look forward to working with Challenge students this upcoming year!
