📚Meet your Librarian                             - Mrs. Hogue

For nearly two decades, I've proudly called Blacksburg Primary School my professional home, immersing myself in various teaching roles from 1st grade to Montessori classes for 3 & 4 year olds, Kindergarten, and 2nd grade.  My dedication to nurturing young minds and instilling a passion for reading traces back to my own childhood experiences assisting the school librarian.

Alongside my husband Grady, we're raising two daughters who share our love for reading, games, and family outings.  My daughters are 8 and 14, and they both move to a new school next year.  One to Blacksburg High School and the other to Blacksburg Elementary School.

My academic background includes a degree in Early Childhood Elementary from Winthrop University and a Master's in Montessori Education from Lander University.  I am pursuing my MLIS  at the University of South Carolina.
