James Gapinski noticed that student engagement with Journal Reflection assignments left a lot to be desired. Students would provide the bare minimum with a few shallow sentences and rote repetition.

To help get students more engaged and excited about the Journal assignments,  James implemented changes such as flexible prompts, multimodal samples and interactive feedback.
