About Incomplete Grade Contracts
Incomplete grades are awarded at the discretion of the instructor. When some essential requirement of the course has not been completed and a student makes the request, a contract detailing the conditions for completing the remaining work is required.
The default deadline for incomplete work to be submitted is automatically set to the end of the following term, but may be changed according to the instructor's expectations. The deadline can be extended for up to one year.
When the requirements of the contract have been met, the instructor will assign the appropriate grade. If the contract is not fulfilled by the deadline, the “I” grade will revert to the specified letter grade assigned at the time the incomplete contract was created.
How to Access Incomplete Grades
From the default Classes tab in My Chemeketa, select the Faculty menu
Select Grading, and then choose Incomplete Grade Contracts
Select View Existing Contracts, Create a New Contract or View a Report.
