All About Mrs. Taboada

This is my 13th year of teaching, and my 7th year at Cheltenham Elementary School! I have taught K, 1st, and 3rd (but 1st grade is my favorite)!

I have been married for 13 years. We have 1 son, Noah, who is 5 1/2 years old and just started Kindergarten. He attends Abington Friends School, where my husband works. We have a yellow Lab named Jed. I live in the township, near our school, so you may see me walking my dog if you live close by!

My hobbies are reading, writing, traveling, cooking, taking walks & hikes with my dog, and growing vegetables in my garden. If I wasn't a teacher, I would want to be an author!

Fun Facts:

• When I lived in New York City, I taught at a bilingual French-American school, so I can speak and understand a little bit of French!
• When I was in college, I studied abroad in London and travelled A LOT!
• My favorite colors are blue and green. I love tea but hate coffee. I love to eat shortbread with my tea (I learned this in London)!
• My favorite children's authors are Kevin Henkes and Mo Willems, and my favorite adult authors are Barbara Kingsolver and John Irving.
• My family and I try to eat vegetarian as much as possible, and we often eat vegan, too! But we do eat some meat with some meals.
