Citing Sources

Citation Steps 

Full citation in proper MLA format for all your sources. 

After you have all the notes you need to complete your slideshow, prepare your bibliography here.  

1. Open the link to your source

2. If your source is a database source (Gale, Encyclopedia Brittanica), it will have a CITE button

   1. CITE buttons look like: or If you don’t see one, move to # 3

   2. Click the CITE button

   3. Highlight (click and drag) the citation that comes up and use CTRL+C keys on your keyboard to copy it

   4. Return to this notecatcher and paste the citation into the box below using CTRL+V

3. Website sources should be cited using zoterabib.org 

   1. Highlight the url website on your source, then use CTRL+C to copy it

   2. Open zbib.org

   3. Click the box that says ‘enter a URL’

   4. CTRL+V pastes the url in the box

   5. Click

   6. Highlight the whole citation. Use CTRL+C to copy it

   7. Return to this note catcher and paste the citation into the box below using CTRL+V

4. Book sources either physical or on Sora

   1. Follow instructions or use generator on Purdue OWL website 

Last Name, First Name. Title of Book. City of Publication, Publisher, Publication Date.
