SEN Welcome
SEN Welcome
At the Academy we are very fortunate to have a safe space for all students who would like to enjoy a quieter area of the school building. The SEN base is open during all break and lunch times for you to enjoy a number of activities with friends. Students can socialise, catch up on Independent Learning (IL) with laptops that are available, read, relax and play board games that are on offer. We are also open after school until 4.15 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for IL club. Our IL club also has teaching assistants who are readily available to support with work.

Over 1,000 young people from all walks of life attend our school.
Government funding leaves no room to provide our students with extra opportunities such as after-school clubs, Duke of Edinburgh awards, rowing, or extra support to get into the best universities. And yet we find these things can be the making of a young person.
The Chelsea Academy Foundation aims to raise £150,000 a year to ensure these opportunities are open to all our students, not just those from better-off families.
