Tai Calon and Valleys to Coast have been leading a range of innovative land use projects in recent years, creating lasting benefits for both local communities and the environment.Through the Blaenau Gwent Flourish and Thrive and Growth for Good programmes, six large-scale community growing sites have been established, alongside two tree nurseries and four Tiny Forests. Building on this success, a major woodland regeneration project is now in development, which will further expand tree nursery capacity and a Green Guide to Blaenau Gwent will be produced showcasing the green spaces in the borough. But what does this have to do with conference feedback? As part of their ongoing commitment to sustainable land use, biodiversity, and community wellbeing, Tai Calon and Valleys to Coast are partnering with CHC to support local tree planting initiatives. For every conference feedback form completed, a native, locally grown tree will be planted as part of the project. All trees will be sourced from the community tree nurseries established through these programmes, helping to create greener, healthier places for future generations.
