Hayley Selway is the Chief Executive of CCHA. Previously, she worked at Taff Housing, where she was responsible for landlord services, development, tenant engagement, partnerships, and repairs. Ultimately, she knows her stuff when it comes to the many areas of housing.
When she’s not Chief Executive-ing at CCHA, you can find her out in the garden looking after her very lively chickens, or convincing her dog Monty that he’s no longer a puppy and really can’t fit onto her lap anymore.

Stuart was appointed as Chief Executive at Community Housing Cymru in October 2014. Previously Assistant Director of Policy and Research at the National Housing Federation, the trade body for housing associations in England, he was responsible for leading the Federation’s Policy and Research function, and for shaping the Federation’s futures and thought leadership work. He is the co-author of the Federation’s think piece “Facing the Future: Evolution or Revolution”, which argued for creative ways to finance affordable housing. In 2014, Stuart joined the board at The Housing Finance Corporation (THFC), an independent not for profit organisation which makes loans to regulated housing associations across the UK, before resigning on his appointment at Community Housing Cymru.Prior to joining the National Housing Federation, Stuart worked for the local authority in both Swansea and Cardiff and Southern Housing Group in London across roles in housing management, supported housing and policy and strategy.

Dr Rachel Minto is an academic with a particular interest in gender equality governance at the EU, state and devolved levels. She teaches and researches at Cardiff University in the area of EU, Brexit and UK devolved politics, with a focus on exploring the impact of Brexit on women’s rights and gender equality across the four nations of the UK, and the future relationship between the UK and the EU. In addition, she undertakes research into gender mainstreaming in Wales and at the EU-level. She is a member of the Gender Network (part of the Third Sector Partnership Counci), jointly co-ordinates the Women in Europe (Wales) network as part of the Senedd’s Cross-Party Group on Women and is a Trustee of the Wales Women’s Budget Group. She recently stood down as Chair of Cardiff Women’s Aid after a period of four years leading the Board (2018-22).

Professor Uzo Iwobi CBE, FLSW, Founder & CEO Race Council Cymru; former Specialist Policy Adviser on Equalities to Welsh Government, 2019-2021; and former Commissioner to the Commission for Racial Equality; prior to that she served as advisor to the 43 police forces in the UK by serving as representative of ACPO and 43 police forces on the Police National Diversity Team which was a national strategic tripartite group based in the Home Office.Originally from Nigeria, Uzo holds a law degree from the University of Nigeria and she qualified as a solicitor and a barrister and was called to the Nigerian Bar. Uzo is founder of the African Community Centre Wales, and Race Council Cymru where she serves as chief executive and sits on the board of several voluntary organisations.
Uzo was a Commissioner to the Centenary Commission established by Theresa May in 2018 and Uzo is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a fellow of the Learned Society of Wales, University of Wales Trinity St David, Glyndwr University, and a Trustee of the Royal Commonwealth Society Wales. Uzo is the founder of the Black Lives Matter Wales Policy Forum, ZeroRacismWales campaign, founder of National Black Asian and Minority Ethnic Youth Forum for Wales and one of the founders of Black History Wales. She launched and facilitated the first Windrush celebration in Wales 2018. Uzo was awarded a CBE for services to race equality and championing diversity and cohesion.

Helen is an experienced housing practitioner and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, who has influenced housing policy and practice as a Trustee on the CIH National Council. She is an experienced Non-Executive Director previously with the Chair of the Chartered Institute of Housing West Midlands Board, Academy 4 Housing in London and recently Access Training East Midlands.Helen has worked at executive and senior level with a number of RPs during the last twenty five years, having strategic and operational responsibilities for housing management, housing with care and support, including life line services, asset management and property services. Helen has led on and been involved in a wide spectrum of assignments. These include Housing Management, Supported Housing and Independent Living Service Reviews, Mergers and Acquisitions, Big Lottery employability programmes, Social Return on Investment and Corporate Social Responsibility projects.Helen is an expert in the field of housing, social enterprise, employment and training, and has worked with a number of housing organisations in the creation and deployment of new social enterprises and supported the commercial growth of charities and enterprise businesses.Helen is passionate about improving people’s life chances through the development of social enterprises which provide access to training and employment opportunities.

Clare is the Group Chief Executive for ClwydAlyn and has had a long career working in Housing Associations and Local Government. Clare also sits on the PenArian and TirTai Boards.She is the Chair of 2025 (a movement established to address avoidable health inequality), and a Board Member of WISH North Wales (a network which encourages women to achieve their life and career ambitions).Clare is passionate about eradicating poverty and inequality, and she gets angry that where you live, or are born still affects life outcomes so much. Clare is a proud Welsh girl, living close to where she was brought up in North Wales. She feels lucky that she has been able to live the life she has chosen, and wants to do what she can in work to make sure others can too.

Katie has ten years' experience as a campaigner and policy operative, and in her first six months at Cymorth she has provided a strong voice for members on Supporting People funding, Rent Smart Wales, and welfare reforms to supported accommodation. Her focus is on working with members and people who use services to support the sector to have the maximum positive impact on people's lives.Katie joined the organisation after five years as Policy and Public Affairs Manager for Gofal, one of Wales' leading mental health charities. During this time, Katie worked with the Welsh Government, public and third sector organisations and service users to influence a range of policy and legislation in health, housing and criminal justice.Prior to this, Katie was the President of the National Union of Students in Wales, where she successfully campaigned to increase student support and protect Welsh students from £9,000 tuition fees. She also led the 'Students Say Yes' campaign and was a member of the 'Yes for Wales' national campaign steering group for the 2011 referendum on primary law making powers. Katie has also served as a Board member of Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol, Cymru Yfory and Cadwyn Housing Association.
