Class overview
Geometry Course Description: Geometry is the branch of mathematics mainly concerned with two and three-dimensional figures and their properties. We will use algebra, inductive and deductive reasoning, constructions, measurement, and coordinate geometry to explore these properties. In addition to this content we will continue our work in Mathematical Standards of Practice including:
Making sense of problems and persevere in solving them.
Reasoning abstractly and quantitatively.
Modeling with mathematics.
Using appropriate properties strategically.
Looking for and making use of structure.
