TThe ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Career Exploration Program is a widely used and respected career development program and test. Developed by the Department of Defense, the program helps students to identify potential careers in both military and civilian arenas. Although the military uses this test to identify occupational specialists, students who plan to attend college or technical schools will also benefit from the program, as it can help them to focus their interests on relevant career paths.
The ASVAB will be available, free of charge, to West students in grades 10-12 on Thursday, November 13, 2026 at 7:30 AM in the library. There is no military obligation in taking the exam. Students who are interested in taking the test must register with their counselor in order to participate. Space is limited, so the deadline to register is Tuesday, November 11, 2026.
