Principles Events

You are only eligible to compete in a principles event if you are a first year DECA competitor. There are four principles categories for competition which are as follows: 

🔴  Principles of Marketing (PMK)  

🟢  Principles of Finance (PFN)  

 🔵 Principles of Hospitality and Tourism (PHT)  

🟡 Principles of Business Management and Administration (PBM)

Competitors in any of the above events will take a sixty minute, one hundred question test. Scores will account for one-third of the student's overall grade. The other two-thirds will be comprised of one presentation (role play). The student will be given ten minutes to study and prepare a presentation based on the case study, immediately followed by ten minutes to present to a judge.
