This is a more advanced project recommended for Year 8 students and would include understanding on loops and variables.
But if you are Year 7 and have finished Project 1 and Other Projects, why NOT?
Part 2:
You should watch this video with your teacher and the whole class first.
Now you are ready to start coding and build different buildings can stand strong with earthquakes.
Part 3:
You should document your understanding about buildings that can stand strong with earthquakes and those that do not.
This is a checklist of words that you should have learnt and document your understanding in relation to the projects you have attempted:
Building
Loop
Rotation
Wait
Sensor
Set motor to a certain strength
Stability of structure
Forward and backward
Sensor moving towards and away
Make a noise
Maximum and minimum speed
Need to slow down for sensor to work
Blue light indicates connection
Efficient program
Loop forever and a variable time
Stop wait rotation
Meaning of count
Part 4:
Find another classmate to work on a project that would use as many of the understanding above as possible. As a start, think about the 5Ws for your project. Email or talk to your teacher once your team is ready!
