Welcome to Soft Materials & Coding!

At the Christchurch East School Technology Centre, we would like every student to discover their strengths, build confidence, and enjoy learning new skills.

In this Soft Materials & Coding course, you will learn how to sew using sewing machines and create your own textile projects. You will also explore coding with the Micro:Bit, learning how technology can be added to fabrics to make smart and interactive creations.

The world is constantly changing, and learning new skills helps you prepare for the future. The activities, videos, and resources on this website are designed to help you learn independently, work with others, solve problems, and be creative.

Your teacher will be there to guide, encourage, and support you as you take on new challenges and bring your ideas to life.
