A bit more about me:
I am a mom of two. My daughter Lily is in 5th grade this year and my son Jacob (a Navigator Alum) is in 8th grade at McDougle Middle School. I am a graduate of UNC and before becoming a librarian I was a 5th grade teacher in Chapel Hill. I have been at Northside since we opened in 2013 and had the incredible privilege of building our library from the ground up! When I'm not at Northside I love kayaking, reading in my hammock, walking our two dogs and camping with my family.

While serving as the librarian at Northside I've won some cool awards. In 2016 I was honored with the American Library Association's "I Love My Librarian" award as one of 10 librarians from around the country to be recognized! In 2020 I was recognized by UNC-SILS with a Distinguished Alumni Award and served as the first Mary Andrews Literacy Teaching Chair for the district.
While serving as the librarian at Northside I've won some cool awards.
