Hi, I’m Lillian D. Loftin-Bell, a two-time Teacher of the Year Award recipient. My educational background had its beginnings in Efland, NC where I was born and raised. After graduating from Orange High School in Hillsborough, NC, I attended undergrad at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Psychology. In addition, I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading from Grand Canyon University. Later, I returned to NCCU to obtain my teaching license in K-6 Elementary Education. I have been teaching for over 14 years in the public school system and for even more time within private schools. To add, I have three daughters, Azariah, Lauren, and Kismet, and one grandson, Kenan, all of whom have worked or currently work as teachers, educators, or within the education system.
