Camp Ignite - Chapel Hill (June 15-18)
Camp Ignite – Chapel Hill, a free, four-day firefighting camp for high school–aged girls in the Orange County school system, taking place June 15–18. This program is a collaboration between the Carrboro Fire Department, Chapel Hill Fire Department, and Chapel Hill High School.
Camp Ignite is designed to empower and educate young women about fire safety, emergency response, and leadership in the fire service. Participants engage in hands-on training, interactive workshops, and mentorship opportunities with local firefighters, with the goal of inspiring interest in careers in firefighting and emergency services.
