MATH

  • Our daily lessons will focus on fractions. These lessons will involve learning on various spectrums of learning such as audio, visual, and physical. We will look into basic fraction concepts using basic shapes, number lines, interval points, and numerical value. However, we will dive really deep into number lines and how to find fraction points on the number line, as well as with fractions greater than 1.

  • Please make sure that you are practicing your math facts daily! Reflex is a great way to practice. Consider grabbing some multiplication facts cards at your nearest Dollar Tree!


READING/ WRITING

  • In Literacy, we will continue looking at Folk Tales. We will use strategies for comprehension, listen to stories, read short stories, and create our own Folk Tales.

  • As far as skills go, we will continue to utilize the skills that we have learned so far. (Summarizing, paraphrasing, main idea, etc.)

  • We'll also continue to read our class book, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. We'll read some together and some on our own.

SOCIAL STUDIES

Social Studies

  • In Social Studies, 3.C.1 - We will work on understanding how diverse cultures are visible in local and regional communities. We'll look at a wide variety of people and changes that have been made throughout history.


SCIENCE

  • We will continue tp investigate the five themes of geography through various readings and activities planned during class time as well as through small groups this week.

  • As we come to a close on our landforms and water formation discovery, get ready for learning about the human body! HOW FUN WE WILL HAVE!!!
