I am delighted to return to the Glenwood community this year! I spent the first six years of my career teaching both third and fourth grades in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. I am thrilled to begin my twenty-fourth year as an educator and anticipate an action-packed year of new experiences!

TIPS FOR SUCCESS:
Celebrate your child’s successes, no matter how small it may seem. This will keep your child enthusiastic about learning and proud of their accomplishments!
Check my website on a weekly basis. The website is linked to the Glenwood STEAM2 Magnet Elementary School home page. This site contains announcements, a calendar with upcoming events, classroom activities, assignments, and useful links.
Read to and with your child every day. Ask a variety of questions to extend concepts and comprehension. The more your child is exposed to language, the easier it will be for him/her to incorporate new skills in reading and writing in the classroom.
Practice basic multiplication facts. If your child masters these, try basic division facts! Flashcards work well and there are also plenty of interactive sites on the Internet.
