I am Marcus Castro, a 15 year old male student at Chapel Hill High School.
Playing videogames, watching anime, and generally looking at art throughout my childhood led me to my curiosity of 3D modeling and digital art.
My artistic philosophy is to create art in the most simple yet effective ways and to always keep learning new concepts.
I have a few months of consistent use of Autodesk 3DS Max through my 3D Modeling & Animation class.
Used Photoshop to edit images and create thumbnails in the past
My strongest technological skills are 2D/image design.
I have experience with block coding (ex. Scratch) and have attempted to learn Python in the past.
I have worked on no projects involving technological skills in recent memory.
The only team projects I have worked on in the past are group presentations in school.
My process for creating a project involves recognizing the goals of creating my project, identifying materials and skills I will need to create it, and applying those skills on a rough draft. After that, I flesh out and finalize work until I am satisfied with what I have created. I then re-read the purpose of the project and ask myself if I met my original goals.
Various Anime and video games inspire my work.
My long-term goals in digital art and 3D modeling are developing my art style, becoming competent enough with digital art and 3D modeling to become certified for a career later down the line, and keeping a learning mindset along the way. I am currently unsure of what I want to do with these skills in the future, but I believe it is a forward-thinking choice to develop them until I figure myself out.
