Goal Progress

1st Quarter Goal: Keep two house plants alive!

During this quarter, I am beginning my 4th attempt to sustain foliage life in the Gough home. I have set the smart goal above and have begun by purchasing two new plants in addition to the one (and a half....not sure if it's going to make it) I already have. Here are my next steps:

  • Research plant care for each plant

  • Learn the names of my plants

  • Create a care schedule

  • Note when I water them so I don't over or under water them

February Update

All three plants are still with us. My favorite plant, the umbrella plant, has been repotted and enjoys afternoons sunning by the front door. The other little guy, whose name I don't know, was also repotted but isn't thriving. I am considering investing in a legitimate pot for him rather than the gutted candle in which he presently resides.

I'm proud that the plants are still alive and am again challenging myself to learn all of their names. Sadly, my succulent, not pictures nor included in this endeavor, has gone on to become compost. He lived a good life and will be missed.
