About Me

Introduction & Background

My name is Georgie Geier, I am a student graphic designer and visual artist. I enjoy exploring my creative hobbies such as drawing, designing, song-writing, sewing, and more. I have around two years of experience in graphic design, and one year of experience in video production, along with several awards from design-related competitions. I am drawn to all things creative and I seek to achieve a professional skill set and career within said interests. My philosophy is that with enough focus, hard-work, and creativity I can create anything I set my sights on.

Graphic Design:

• "Fired Up Sauces" hot sauce branding design  (Capstone project) - 2023/24

• Bluegrass festival poster design for the SkillsUSA Visual Design competition, 2024 - 1st place

• The Yogurt Pump brand redesign  (Capstone project) - 2024/25

Video Production:

• Co-director, animator, and cinematographer of the Lego stop motion animation project "Watch What You Drink"  (with Evelyn Nugent) - 2024/25

• Co-Director, storyboard artist, script writer, and cinematographer of "Slipping"  (with Evelyn Nugent) for the SkillsUSA Video Design competition, 2025 - 2nd place

Creative Process & Inspiration

Projects typically begin with an extensive brainstorming period that includes research, concept art/sketches, and process planning. Time management is key to an efficient production process and I strive to complete any and all prep-work before and outside of class in order to leave as much time as possible to create, tweak, and perfect work in class.

Future Goals & Aspirations

I aspire to get a career in Graphic Design and Digital Art working as a freelance artist or under a company. I would also like to create a balance with my future work career that allows me to pursue other interests, such as music and crafting, alongside a stable design-related career.
