I'm so happy to be entering my 14th year as the Ephesus school counselor! After graduating from UNC-CH, I completed UNC's Master of Social Work program and worked with a treatment foster care agency in Durham. I then returned to UNC and completed the Master of School Counseling program in 2012. I currently hold licensure as both a K-12 School Social Worker and an Advanced Graduate (Specialist) K-12 School Counselor. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in K-12 School Counseling. I completed my doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in social-emotional learning and trauma-informed schools, and my dissertation research focused on closing racial gaps in students' feelings of school connectedness. I am passionate about partnering with students and families to empower them to build upon their strengths and meet their goals!
