Ephesus encourages students to visit the library often with it's flexible scheduling. CHCCS schools operate using an open circulation policy which means our library is open to all students and staff throughout the school day for self selecting books.

Rather than having one assigned day students are allowed to visit, they may exchange books as the need arises without having to wait for a scheduled time each week!

This policy encourages more frequent library use and is best practice. Many teachers establish small group rotation schedules to ensure students have, at the least, one opportunity each week to visit. Ask your child about time during the school day when they're able to visit the media center.

CHCCS curriculum, taught both in the Media Center and in the classroom setting, focuses on

• reading appreciation
• information literacy and research
• digital citizenship
• and technology integration.
