Music

Your end of year exam will go over everything we have looked at this year in Music.

There will be listening questions to answer where you will listen to a piece of music and then have to answer questions about it.

For example, to answer the question 'Describe the dynamics of this excerpt.', you will have to listen to the music and describe the dynamics (volume). Answers could be loud or the musical terminology forte for example. You will get a higher CPP if you answer with the correct musical terminology.

You should also be able to recognise the different  timbres (sounds) of different instruments, so it is a good idea to listen to music that includes different instrument sounds (strings, woodwind, brass, percussion as well as pop instruments such as guitars, drums and keyboard).

If you have any questions you can email your music teacher.
