Computer Issues/Repair -

  • What should I do if my Chromebook and/or is lost, damaged?

      • Use the Chatham County Web Help Desk Link and describe what is the issue/concern with your Chromebook and/or charger. If you are having difficulty filling out a request, please email your homeroom teacher and they can assist you.

  • What should I do if I forget my login or password for certain websites (Canvas, IXL, ALEKS, etc.)?

      • It is good practice to write down your logins and passwords in a secure location. If you happen to forget your login, please email your homeroom teacher to see if they can assist you.

Behavior/Discipline -

  • What is a PRIDE Card?

    • The PRIDE card is a way for parents and students to monitor student progress throughout the year and quarter. The PRIDE card offers an opportunity for parents to see:

1. Growth students are making on different benchmarks throughout the year

2. Monitor student behavioral concerns throughout the quarter. A students PRIDE card can be signed by a teacher for minor incidences such as consistent classroom distractions, horseplay, etc.

COVID-19 Updates -

  • Where can I find information on COVID-19 updates?

    • Information regarding COVID-19 updates can be found on the Chatham County Schools Website. As we learn more as a district, calls will be made home and announcements will be posted for families so that they receive the most up to date information regarding COVID-19 and Margaret B. Pollard Middle School.

Grades/Powerschool -

  • Where do I turn in assignments for my classes when I complete them?

    • Teachers will ask their students to turn in their assignments in different ways. Please talk with your specific teacher on how to turn in your assignments for their specific classes.

  • Where do I go if I want to see my current grades in my classes?

    • To see your current grade in each of your classes, you will need to log into Powerschool. You will be able to click on your specific classes and the assignments that have been graded.

  • How often do teachers update their grades in Powerschool?

    • Teachers will update their grades weekly in Powerschool. Most teachers have their grades in Powerschool up to date by Friday afternoon.

  • If I am concerned or have a question about my grade, who should I talk to?

    • If you have a concern about your grade or an assignment, please email the teacher who teaches that specific class. They can schedule a time to meet with you via Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc. to discuss your assignment and/or grade.

  • As a parent, who should I contact if I have trouble accessing Powerschool?

  • If I feel like I need extra assistance in a class, how can I ask for some help?

    • If you feel like you need extra assistance in a class, please email the teacher who teaches that specific class. They can schedule a time to meet with you via Zoom, Google Hangouts, etc. to discuss your concerns and how they can assist you.

Other -

  • What is Remind and what is it used for?

    • Remind is an application used to send out information to students and parents via text message. Teachers will typically send Remind messages about upcoming assignments, grade level announcements, etc. Recipients can also reply using the Remind app to their student's teacher directly.

  • If I need to speak to a counselor, nurse, or social worker, where could I find their contact information?
