A strong focus on health and wellness is a highlight of Perry Harrison. Club Fit is held three times a week for each grade level. Students engage in activities that involve movement, thinking skills, and lots of fun!
Fourth and Fifth Graders can participate in the Perry Harrison School Chorus after completing a short audition process. Students learn proper breathing and vocal technique as well as standard performance practices. Our chorus presents a concert in the Winter and in the Spring. We also perform the National Anthem once a year at the Durham Bulls Baseball Game. Rehearsals are held on Thursday afternoons immediately after school.
Perry W. Harrison School opened in 1996. The school is named for Superintendent Emeritus Perry W. Harrison. Harrison retired in November of 1994 after serving as Superintendent of Chatham County Schools for 26 years. He created the artwork located in the main entry area of our school.
