Chatham Bridging the Gap is a small 501c3 whose mission is to temporarily "bridge the gap" for Chatham residents who are facing an unexpected financial set-back due to a loss of employment, divorce, death of a spouse or a catastrophic illness. Chatham residents can obtain assistance with paying utility bills that are in arrears, rent payments, car insurance, etc.
Bridging the Gap also assists with getting fees waived/reduced for Chatham recreation programs for children and for memberships to Memorial Park Pool.
Bridging the Gap can also be a source to other nonprofits' services, depending upon needs--for instance there is financial aid available for membership and childcare/preschool/afterschool at the Madison Area YMCA. We also help out by finding clothing donations should a family need winter coats, etc.
