How to Access Learning Materials
on Schoology
[Grades 9-12]
In grades 9-12 at the School District of the Chathams, we utilize the Schoology as our learning management system (LMS). Schoology enables our teachers to easily create, distribute, and collect digital assignments in one location. To access the learning materials and assignments, your child will log on to Schoology.
In order to log into Schoology from home, your son/daughter can navigate to schoology.chatham-nj.org/ and log in with his/her username and password.
If your son/daughter does not remember his/her username and/or password, this information can be found in the Parent Portal. Once you log in, the information can be found within the “Summary” tab.
The Course Dashboard enables you to view all your courses as a tiled list. From the Course Dashboard, click any one of your courses and go directly to its main landing page.
Examples: Period 1 - US History 1C, Period 2 - English 9C, Period 3 - Algebra 3/Trig B, Period 4 - AP Chemistry, Period 6 - TV Production
Recent Activity shows all comments and updates pertaining to your courses and groups. To filter your feed to view only Updates, Polls, or Blog posts, click the "Most Recent" link in the top corner, and select a filtering option.
The Upcoming area on the right side of your homepage displays events, assignments, tests/quizzes, and discussions with a due date. Hovering over each item displays the course or group associated with the item.
