Project Modules : Real-Time & Historical World Weather Data API
Project Details :
The API to cover global weather data across the board - from a multi-year history all the way to live information and accurate weather forecasts from Indian and world agencies. The platform to bring together live or hour-by-hour weather data for CHARUSAT, and nearby cities. The system to be powered by cloud infrastructure, with a nearly 100% uptime. Important features to be warnings from national weather agencies, Weather alerts pushed as soon as they occur, Data feeds to provide with each alert contents date, time, location, and detailed description

Project Modules : Running WRF model on Super Computer
Project Details :
The Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model is a next-generation mesoscale numerical weather prediction system designed to serve both operational forecasting and atmospheric research needs. The output provided from numerical simulation of 5-10 days weather changes serves best to the weather forecast in most part of the world including India. The present study is conceptualized to examine the requirement of computational resources to operate highly complex numerical simulations of WRF model with multi core processors and variable RAM/processor speeds. Different synthetic experiments will be designed to evaluate the role of parallel computing in the climate modelling system. The saturations will be rated with different number of processors with serial and parallel computations. Additionally, parallel computing simulations, model time step, resolution, system architecture etc. will be checked for optimal performance.
Finally, the results of numerical simulations will be validated against the observed data. The same may be extended to the future weather developments that can be shared on open web domain for outreach.

Project Modules : (1) Indian Rainfall (ISMR) data analysis (2) Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data analysis (3) AI/ML methods to work out the teleconnections between ISMR & SST (4) long range ISMR forecast
Project Details :
The prediction of Indian Rainfall (ISMR) has always been challenging due to its complexity and heterogenic nature. Sea Surface Temperature (SST) show well-defined influence on occurrence of rainfall. Teleconnections are significant relationships or links between two weather phenomenon at widely separated locations on earth that span thousands of miles. Many teleconnection patterns behave like a seesaw, e.g. atmospheric pressure in one location results in a decrease in pressure somewhere far, far away. The ISMR-SST includes an estimated 100 year time period data holdings. Traditional methods of analyzing these data are insufficient to produce answers due to the complex nature of the problem. Thus, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) methods to be applied for analyzing the massive volumes of data and establish the possible connections between them.

ZAP Attendance system is all about providing a one-stop solution for attendance management. During the span of two semesters, we completed the feasibility study, market analysis, prototyping, offsite testing, onsite testing, and much more. The system is functional but is far from perfect and requires improvements, bug fixes, and necessary feature updates.
To improve the product and test the system in a live environment, we proposed U & P U Patel Department of Computer Engineering to execute this system as a trial. After running the trial for a quarter, we are ready for moving toward the next steps.
Major Objectives of the System:
To develop an automated attendance system.
To develop a unique identity-based access system for CHARUSAT students.
We are using "TRL" methodology to implement this project at CHARUSAT. Till now based, on our earlier work on the project, we have achieved Level 7 of TRL. To achieve TRL Level 8, we needed to add new necessary features and implement the system in one complete semester of the constituent institutes of CHARUSAT. For doing so, we need to implement a web portal for viewing data and generating different types of reports, integrate the API with the e-Governance system, and update the hardware design to better suit the end user's needs. This is to be done over the span of April 2023.
Deliverables: Hardware and Software of RFID Based attendance system for integration with e-Governance system.

Project Modules: (1) Set Design Parameter (2) Fetch Item Detail (3) Inspection Approval / Rejection (4) Recording Inspection detail (5) Report Download
Project Description: The QA process for the newly arrival items uses lot of paper work, just to inspect the values. This waste lost of paper and do not have the digital data. The past digital data helps to analyses the pattern and can take efficient decision on it. The current method records inspected value of an item in the hard copy. Inspection Data Capture System (IDCS) will help to address those problems. It will reduce humans’ efforts by easy testing parameter setup, use old parameter setup, linking with testing items, easy statical analysis and report generation.

Project Modules: (1) User Management (2) Fees collection (3) Identifying batch mismatch and duplicate entries of user in swimming pool
Project Description: Swimming pool is managed in batches. there are total 7 batches runs in one day. Two Face & Finger scan device monitors IN & OUT of users. Devices are placed at the entry point of swimming pool. Customer ID should be manual manageable.
Follows are expected reports:
Every day, batch wise list of candidate should be display on screen. Major interests are,
Name, phone and total users should be displayed on screen.
In and OUT track of customers.
Main goal to find out users who are inside pool at the end of batch time.
At the time of overlapping time, screen should contain users of previous batch only. Until and unless all are out, next batch IN will not be displayed. In case, if users forget to punch OUT, there should be manual provision to remove from screen.
Report should highlight users who came for more than one time in a day. In such case, It should display multiple IN and OUT time. (Special Case Display).

There is various issues related to recording attendance for theory classes and laboratories. We can do automate using various methodologies like Biometry, RFID, Computer vision etc., our team done proper technical, financial and operation feasibility of all options available. After feasibility analysis and brain storming, we proposed to develop RFID based semi-automatic attendance system. We herewith provide technical details for the same.We team of students and faculty members proposed solutions to resolved these issues using RFID technology.
In last semester group of our students from BTech (CE) under guidance of our faculty members, they have analyzed, design and develop pilot project as RFID based attendance system.
Now to implement the same in live environment, we proposed U & P U Patel Department of Computer Engineering to execute this as a trail run as prototyping. For the same we have to expenditure towards various instrumentation and R&D resources.
Major Objectives of Proposed System
To develop automated attendance system.
To develop unique identity-based access system for CHARUSAT student.
We are using TRL methodology to implement this project at CHARUSAT. Till now based on our earlier work of project we have achieved Level 6 of TRL. To achieve TRL Level 7 we proposed to implement in one department at CHARUSAT for current semester from month of Feb, 2021 onwards. For TRL Level 8 we can implement for full semester in one of the constituent institutes of CHARUSAT in next semester.
