Richard Phelps (He/Him) I have been an English teacher at HUM II for a long time and am thrilled to have joined the Knightly News team! Ensuring students produce their best writing and design work for authentic audiences is quite rewarding.

I was born and raised in Queens, NY. I love to travel, take photos, and learn about different cultures and traditions. I moved to Costa Rica for 3 years where I taught English to adults and high school students. I'm very grateful for the experiences and opportunities that brought me to where I am today, teaching Spanish at HUM II! 

I want to give our scholars an opportunity to improve communication within our school in a creative and safe space.

My name is Isabella (or Izzy) and I am a senior at HUM II. I like to make art and I love animals. I joined The Knightly News because I wanted to improve my writing and get more involved in the school’s community.

Hello! I'm Deandrea Beckford, senior 2025. I am a Knightly News writer and editor, and I choose to be a part of KN because I enjoy making social commentaries and sharing them with others and a little fact about me is that I am a bit of a history nerd.

My name is Shuaib. I am a freshmen who looks towards a bright future through hard work and commitment. The Knightly News seemed like a great opportunity to me to improve my writing while building brighter opportunities for myself.

Hii! My name is Ja’nasia Perrin, I’m a junior and a writer for the Knightly News. Outside of writing, I enjoy crocheting, dancing, listening to music, cooking and sleeping. I joined the Knightly News because English Language Arts has always been one of my favorite subjects, and as a returning member from the ‘22-‘23 team, it’s exciting to see the club making a strong comeback. Through my work, I hope to contribute in ways that educate, inform, inspire, or simply entertain :)

I am a junior here at United Charter Humanities II. I enjoy movies, conversation, cars, learning and practicing all the things that I like to do. 

I joined the Knightly News because I enjoy writing and helping my community. I have always dreamed of being a journalist ever since I was a child, seeing the reporters on the television talking about world affairs and stuff, reading the New York Times print. Ever since I watched Full Metal Jacket and saw that Private Joker also wrote for his high school newspaper, that almost inspired me to join, in addition to my love for writing. 

My name is Emily! I enjoy watching anime and writing and honestly... a lot more stuff. I decided to join Knightly News because I wanted to put my writing skills to work and I enjoy doing something that relates to the community and keeping them up to date!

Hey readers, My name is Jazzlyn Sosa-Dolmo. I am a sophomore. I love history, my family, my grandma and God. I'm kind and very ambitious. I joined the knightly news to better myself in writing and find new passion for certain things because I love trying new things. 

Hello everybody! My name is Jose A. Sosa-Dolmo, I am currently a senior in HUMII and a writer for the Knightly News. I love listening to music, fashion, and being happy! I am your local gym rat, a church youth assistant leader or a teacher, and I love playing volleyball. Volleyball has been my favorite sport for over a year now which feels like a short time for me. I joined the Knightly News because I wanted to be a part of a community with a diverse handful of people.
