My work opens the possibility of using broadband ultrasound to more accurately and robustly quantify nonlinear, power-law tissue attenuation, enabling attenuation-based biomarkers that better reflect underlying tissue microstructure and improve tissue characterization.
Here is What’s Possible: In this project, I use numerical modeling to show how trapped water leads to dangerous heat accumulation in landfills, helping engineers design better systems to cool them down.
