Charlotte AI Research
is involved in many different projects including project Apollo, AI Literacy Division and Project Cerebra. CAIR is heavily focused on providing students with realistic hands on experience that is often times overlooked in the classroom.
On top of projects and coding experience, Charlotte AI Research performs outreach to students, practicing soft skills and leadership skills, and personal connection. We provide fun laid-back events such as hiking and field-trip days.
Project Apollo
Project Cerebra is an innovative initiative within our organization, dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge AI technology to improve communication and knowledge sharing. This project focuses on developing a Discord bot connected to a large language model, designed to provide accurate and helpful responses to questions posed in our organization's Discord channel.
Key to Project Cerebra is the use of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), a technique that combines the retrieval of relevant information with advanced natural language processing to generate precise and contextually appropriate answers. By integrating modern NLP techniques, the bot can understand and address a wide range of queries relevant to our organization, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our internal communications.
Participants in Project Cerebra gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art machine learning and AI technologies. They learn to implement and optimize RAG systems, work with large language models, and develop solutions that can handle real-time user interactions. This project not only supports our organization’s mission to advance machine learning and AI but also provides members with practical skills and insights that are highly valuable in the tech industry.
