The Bistro is the student-led restaurant experience at West Ashley Culinary. It gives students the opportunity to apply kitchen and hospitality skills through preparation, service, teamwork, communication, and guest interaction in a working environment.
Students rotate through kitchen, dining room, support, and leadership roles while managing the pace and responsibility of live service.
The Bistro helps students connect classroom learning to real hospitality experiences. Students practice timing, organization, awareness, communication, adaptability, and professionalism while serving guests from the school and surrounding community.
Service days create opportunities for students to problem-solve, support teammates, recover from mistakes, and experience the rhythm of a working kitchen.
