I have been a school librarian for the past 9 years. I can't believe that I get to work at something that I love so much. My favorite thing about my job is when students get excited about reading. I also love doing reading programs that encourage students to read. I love Book Fairs, Summer Reading, Read Across America celebrations, and Battle of the Books.

This year will be a challenge with the COVID restrictions we are facing. However, I'm sure that we will be able to find some fun things to do to get books in the hands of students,

Your students can find great reading this year by using our SORA app which provides access to thousands of ebooks and audio books. They can also access all digital content from the Charleston County Public Library (student appropriate) from SORA as well. Books are updated frequently with new books being added all of the time.

Students will also be able to use our Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) Destiny to put books from our library on hold.

Students come to the library each week with their classes for lessons and checkouts. Those students who want or need a book at times outside their normal class time are allowed to come and checkout when they want to. We want all students to get the materials they want!
