BA in Communications from Clemson , MAT Secondary English, and M.Ed. in Secondary Administration from The Citadel

Education Background: 

Mrs. Lowry  spent an amazing 17 and a half years at Wando High School, teaching a wide variety of English courses and levels.  She served as the Department Chair for the English Department for four years before accepting an Assistant Principal position at the beginning of the 2023 school year!

Greenville, South Carolina

Personal Background: 

Growing up in a family of educators (all the females on her mother's side are teachers), the last place Mrs. Lowry envisioned herself was in a classroom.  Immediately out of college, she worked in sales for an educational software company in Greenville, South Carolina.  It was interesting...but she was not happy.  So after a couple of years of going through the motions in the corporate world, she found herself at a crossroads.  And fortunately, it led her into education--where she has found more fulfillment than she ever imagined.  She also met and married her husband, started their family, and joined an incredible community of educators.  Both of their girls are currently in  Mount Pleasant public schools, and she is extremely involved in their day to day activities.   

Outside Interests:  

Mrs. Lowry loves working out, spending time with her family outdoors (away from technology), reading, and looking for new adventures.
