Class of 2027, your big year is here!  I encourage you to really lock in and finish strong and don’t let all the hype distract you from your personal bests!  Lots of big decisions will be made in the coming months and you will feel the pressure to perform and compare. Block that out and just be you, doing your very best in every situation.  Ask for help, guidance, and support and provide it to your classmates and underclassmen who are watching your every move!  You are showing them what it means to be the graduating class and a veteran Bengal and they have so much to learn from you! Thank you for being the best of Beckham!  

Parents, if this is your first high school graduate, buckle up and hang on!  It is a fun ride!  If this is not your first rodeo, you know that this year is going to be so special and bittersweet in so many ways. Your children have made it through 12 years of school and will finish with a most memorable senior year! No matter where you are in this journey, the important thing is to cherish every moment, even the ordinary ones. We are here to help, remind, console, encourage, and support you and your senior every step of the way.  As an empty nester myself, I can tell you that the emotional journey for everyone is intense but also so rewarding.  Do not suffer in silence or think you are the only one with questions or concerns, reach out to friends, family, and your school community and know we are here for you. It is going to be an amazing year!  

We know summer is quickly sliding away and we will be head first into the year very soon!  We wanted to go ahead and share information now so you can get those calendars and planners started and we will provide information (repeated and new) periodically throughout the year.  We will continue with our weekly updates for all but Seniors will get additional information and have periodic class meetings to go over things and remind everyone what needs to be done. Do not hesitate to reach out at any point for anything and know that your Beckham family is here for you!

• The Senior Page of the School Counseling website has valuable information especially the Senior Calendar for the Class of 2027 we hope you’ll reference throughout the year. More dates will be added as the year progresses.

• Trident Technical College/LBHS Dual Credit on campus courses for Fall 1 (Q1) start Tuesday, August 18th. Online classes start on Monday, August 17th. All students taking a class in person or online this Fall for the first time must have completed an orientation with TTC prior to starting class and should be sure they can log in to access their TTC account prior to class starting. 

• Transcripts Information - We encourage you to come to the College Application Workshop where we will help you link your Common Application to Xello for transcripts and letters of recommendation. You may request a transcript for yourself through the form on our website linked here but official transcripts for college applications will be sent through Xello. Transcripts for applications will be ready September 1st once all summer courses (dual credit and Virtual SC) are added. Please note that students can submit their application without the transcript being sent - the two are not tied together. A student's application can be submitted as early as August 1st and the date they submit is considered the day the application was submitted - it is not tied to when the school submits a transcript.

• Painting Senior Parking Spaces info is coming soon.  You must have already completed general parking requirements before you can pay for a space to paint. This is a fundraiser for the Class of 2027.

• August 6 - College Application Workshop on August 6 at 1:30pm in the Cafeteria

• August 16 - Senior Night on August 26 at 6pm in the PAC

• October 2-3 - Fall Homecoming Game on Friday and Dance on Saturday

• February 17, 2027 - Spring Dance

• April 10, 2027 - Jr/Sr. Prom

• May 26, 2027 - Graduation at 2:30pm at the North Charleston Coliseum.
