CCSD Unsung Educator of the Week
Congratulations to the CCSD Unsung Educator of the Week, Mrs. Moseley.
Last year, COVID impacted the school's ability to facilitate connections and help build relationships among faculty, staff, and students. Ms. Moseley wanted to find a way to connect with many of our new students. She was informed that many students loved basketball and that she may want to join them at recess. Ms. Moseley took it a step further by creating a recess basketball league, The Buist Basketball Association (BBA).
The BBA includes 7th and 8th-grade students. Students did not get to select their teams. This arrangement created an opportunity for students to work with and get to know new people.
Read-A-Thon
Buist Academy has decided to hold a Read-a-thon again this year! Read-a-thons get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.
Our Read-a-thon starts Monday, November 8, 2021.
Instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page will be sent home this week. This page is where you will be able to view and record their progress.

Buist Academy will be hosting DHEC flu clinics.
The first flu clinic will be on December 10, 2021, at 8:30.
The second flu clinic will be on January 13, 2022, at 8:30.
The online or paper consent forms must be completed by November 30, 2021.
