Monday, May 26- Holiday – Memorial Day (Schools Closed)
Wednesday, May 28- 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony (Graduation) at 9:00; Anson St. doors open for guests at 8:15
Wednesday, May 28- Early Release Day (1:00 Dismissal)
Thursday, May 29- Half Day and Last Day for Students (11:15 Dismissal- No lunch will be served)
Friday, May 30- Teacher Workday- (No school for students.)

June 2-Summer Office Hours: Monday-Thursday from 7:30-4:30. Offices are closed on Friday.
Occasionally, the office will be closed throughout the summer. Please call in advance to ensure someone is available to assist you.

Congratulations to the Buist Academy Yearbook Staff and Ms. Chandler for earning Gold in the Jostens Yearbook Program of Excellence!
This is the 3rd year in a row that Ms. Chandler and her team of students have received this recognition. Buist is one of 9 schools across the state to win this award.

Congratulations to Buist Academy for being CCSD Reader Leaders! We have met our Beanstack reading goals!
Students were celebrated during the pep rally and will have alternate dress days (no uniform) for the remainder of the year.
Students must follow all dress code requirements requested by teachers and administration for special events such as promotion and move-up ceremonies.
A message from a 5th Grade PYP Exhibition Group:
The PYP group for Art Accessibility is kindly asking for donations of brand-new art supplies for the Lowcountry Orphan Relief. Please bring art supply donations (pencils, crayons, paint, paint brushes, coloring books, etc.) by Friday, May 23, 2025. Donation boxes will be located near the P.E. main doorway and in the hallway outside Ms. Torres's room.

Students must register every year. This includes providing information updates and verifying residency. Parents can complete information updates and upload documents through the parent portal. All required residency documents must be uploaded or provided to the school as a packet.
Please do not lose your seat at Buist Academy. Magnet students must submit residency verification documentation by June 30, 2025.

Plot your escape this summer at Charleston County Public Library as they host the 2025 Summer Reading Program, Read Around the World . In partnership with Charleston County School District (CCSD), this year's program invites readers of all ages to explore new worlds through books, earn prizes along the way, and enjoy special events throughout the summer.
If your student will not be returning to Buist Academy for the 2025-2026 school year, please complete the school and CCSD withdrawal forms.
This form is for any current 3rd-7th grade students not returning to Buist Academy next year.
Do not complete these forms if:
You plan to accept a seat at another CCSD choice/magnet school
Your student is in the 8th grade and will be attending another CCSD school
