Last week, Buist Academy faculty and staff enjoyed breakfast, lunches, daily prizes, and many other special tokens of appreciation! 

Thanks to our wonderful students and families for showing lots of love and appreciation to our teachers.

Thanks to the Buist Academy Foundation, parent volunteers, parent donors, and the Buist Academy administrators for helping to plan, organize, and support Buist Teacher Appreciation Week!  

No matter how big or small, we truly appreciate your time, contributions, support, and kindness.

We want to wish our students the best of luck on the SC Ready assessment. They are well prepared for this task. Remind students that during the test, they should remain calm, stay focused, keep a positive attitude, and put forth their best efforts. Scholars should get a good night's sleep and eat a well-balanced breakfast each morning. To make sure Chromebooks are at school ready for testing, student devices and chargers will remain at school for the remainder of the school year.

The Buist Academy Foundation serves as the parent-teacher organization (PTO) for Buist Academy. There are no fees to join. All parents are a part of the Buist Foundation. We appreciate your support through generous donations and acts of service. 

Your help is needed as we plan for the 2024-2025 school year. Take an active role in the school community, and consider joining a committee. 

You are not required to attend monthly Foundation Board meetings. You will meet and communicate with your committee as needed. More information will be provided in August.

The Buist Academy School Improvement Council has one parent vacancy. The SIC is an advisory council to the principal that is focused on school improvement. It is made up of parents, teachers, and community representatives.

A representative of the SIC will contact all individuals whose names are submitted for nomination before the election to confirm acceptance of the nomination.

Nominees will be invited to submit a brief statement about themselves and why they want to serve on the SIC. All statements received will be included in the election ballot. This process will give voters a chance to get to know each of the candidates.

Nominations will be accepted until Monday, May 20, 2024, at noon.

Registration and residency verification are required for all new and returning Buist Academy students. All documents must be uploaded for registration to be complete. There is a Notary available at the school. 

Use the PowerSchool Parent Portal to register student(s) for the 2024-2025 school year. 

You will need to log into your Parent Portal account and update the information in your account.
