E-Learning Day- Vaccination

Buist Academy's e-Learning day to allow for our faculty and staff to receive the COVID-19 vaccination is Thursday, April 22. This will replace the April 30 district scheduled e-learning day on the CCSD calendar. We understand that you may have to adjust your schedules to accommodate this effort, but this major step will help make our schools much safer during this pandemic.

Thank you for everything you have done throughout this year to support our school community!

In-Person Return

There is available seating in all grade levels for any remote student to return to in-person learning. Please contact Ms. Looney (karrie_looney@charleston.k12.sc.us) if you are interested in having your student return in-person for the 4th quarter.

Royal Fun Run 20-21

The Buist Academy Foundation is making preparations for the annual Royal Fun Run. Although the event will look different this year, we plan to make it fun and engaging for our students. We still plan to have the Mystery Royal Court contest, logo design contest, and t-shirts provided by the Buist Foundation.

The event will kick off on April 28 with a virtual schoolwide pep rally. Dates are subject to change, please expect more information and details over the next few weeks.

The Buist Academy Foundation is providing Royal Fun Run t-shirts for all students to wear during the fundraising event. Please click Royal Fun Run Shirt Size Survey to provide your child's shirt size. Complete a separate form for each child.

Please do not park in the carpool lane during morning arrival or afternoon dismissal. This area is reserved for the safe unloading and loading of our students.

All car riders should use Anson Street for arrival and dismissal. Bus and bike riders should use Calhoun Street (Dogwood Alley).

Students not in class by 8:00 a.m. are marked tardy.

For the safety of our students and staff please yield to students entering and exiting their vehicle opposite of the curb during carpool. We ask that drivers please remain in your vehicle and allow staff on duty to assist your student as a courtesy to others.

If your student needs help with car seats and seat belts, after loading, please drive all the way up to assist them. We encourage you to teach students to independently perform these tasks.
