Thank you so much for your support during this very different but MAGICAL school year. We appreciated your kindness, encouragement, and understanding as we navigated through the uncertainty and change that COVID-19 brought to our lives.
Today, as we celebrated and said goodbye to our 8th-grade students, I was reminded of why it is all worth it. I am grateful to be a part of such an amazing school community and look forward to our continued growth and success.
Have a safe and happy summer!
Sincerely,
Shawntay White
Principal

Registration and re-enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year is upon us. Because we are a magnet school, there are yearly residency verification requirements that our Board of Trustees has mandated. This year all new AND returning magnet students must provide residency documentation by June 30, 2021.
Residency paperwork went home with your student May 12, 2021. The school has onsite notary services, please call in advance to ensure availability.
If you have questions, please contact Angenita Watson at 843-724-7750.
If your 1st-7th grade student is not returning to Buist Academy for the 21-22 school year, please complete the school withdrawal survey. One survey may be used for multiple children.

We do not accept requests for specific teachers. We will consider placing or not placing students with an older sibling's former teacher. However, that is not guaranteed and any requests will be viewed for informational purposes only.
Click the link below to complete your request. This form is optional and will close on July 1. No late summer requests will be accepted.
Upper-grade levels are departmentalized; students will have all teachers in those grade levels for at least one class.
