Spring Concert and Art Walk

Thank you for your support of the Arts at Buist Academy. On Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 6:00 PM we will be holding our Spring Concert and Art Walk "Rockin' the Pans, Rockin' the Arts".

Our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade steel drum groups perform as a coherent ensemble. Therefore, for the whole group to be successful, it is vitally important that all members of the group participate in the concert.

All performers need to be in the music room by 5:45 PM. Student artwork from Middle School grades will be on display on the first floor and in the media center beginning at 5:30 PM. The Concert will begin in the Gym at 6:00 PM.

We look forward to seeing everyone there as we anticipate an enjoyable evening for all.

We are thrilled to welcome you to our GOTR 5K Celebration to celebrate our GOTR Girls and all they have accomplished this season! This 5K is a celebratory, exciting, non-timed event and will take place on Sunday, May 21st at 8:30am. All fitness levels are celebrated and welcomed!

***Please do not register Spring 2023 GOTR Participants for this event. Their race registration is included with their program registration.

***Runners must choose from the following participant categories to register:

Running Buddy: Each girl is paired with a Running Buddy. The Running Buddy's job is to run alongside a GOTR girl and support her during the race. All Running Buddies must be 16 or older. We encourage only one Running Buddy per GOTR girl. Any other family members or friends should register as a Family or Community Runner.

Running Buddies will need to distinguish themselves as one of the following:

Running Buddy- Family: a parent or family member of a GOTR Girl in the program.

Running Buddy- Friend: a friend of a GOTR Girl and has been asked by the GOTR Girl and her family to participate as her special Running Buddy.

Running Buddy- Volunteer: a community member who is willing to run with a girl who does not have a Running Buddy registered with her. Running Buddy Volunteers will be paired with their GOTR Girl the week of the 5K. Background checks are required for all Running Buddy Volunteers that are not chosen by the participant.

Family Runner: any siblings or other family members who wish to run alongside their GOTR Girl and her team.

Sparkle/Community Runner: any runner who wants to run the course while supporting GOTR girls along the way with cheers, smiles, and encouragement.
