TRICOUNTY ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE

The league will start on March 6^th.

Coach’s meetings will be held on:

Monday, January 9^th at 5 PM

Friday, January 13^th at 4 PM

Sunday, January 15^th at 3 PM

All meetings will be held at the Charleston Tennis Center, 19 Farmfield Avenue, Charleston, SC 29407

Public, private, and parochial schools are invited to participate.

Divisions include:

Red Ball – Kindergarten through Grade 2

Orange Ball – Grades 3-5

Green Ball – Grades 4 & 5

Yellow Ball – Grades 6-8

Any school that wishes to participate must have a representative at ONE of the 3 coach’s meetings listed above.

This tentative timeline provides the dates, deadlines, and events related to the application process for the 2023-2024 school year:

• January 24, 2023 - Online and paper application window opens.

• January 28, 2023 - Virtual Choice Fair - Details will be available in January 2023.

• February 24, 2023 - Online application submission and paper application drop-off window close at 5:00 pm.

• April 3, 2023 - Families will be notified by email of School Choice acceptance/decisions.

• April 20, 2023 - Offered seat must be accepted by 11:59 pm.

Registration for the February 2023 Midlands Student Summit hosted by Clemson University’s Office of College Preparation and Outreach is now open.

This event is co-sponsored by Boeing and will take place on Saturday, February 4th from 8 am-2 pm at Lower Richland High School in Hopkins, SC. This summit is designed to educate, inspire, and empower underrepresented middle and high school students but is open to any 7th-12th grade student who registers.

Students can expect to hear from a variety of speakers that will hold interactive sessions about the college admissions process, financial aid options, strategies for academic success in high school, leadership development, career options, and much more! In addition to sessions, students will have the opportunity to hear from colleges/universities from around South Carolina at a college and resource fair.
