Myracle Cromwell

I am an ambitious, adventurous, courageous young female. At Birth, I was diagnosed with spastic paraplegic cerebral palsy, (a brain disorder that blocks nerves in my legs causing me to be mobile with assistive devices). I am, Myracle TreMayne Cromwell, and Spastic CP does not define who I am. I am a member of UBASA,Model U.N and Project Lit, and the president of our FBLA’s local chapter. I also play the tenor and saxophone in the Symphonic Winds here at JI. My plans for the future is becoming a Clinical Psychologist to help those who cannot seek help or help themselves. My curiosity and wild imagination has me interested in experiencing more out of the box situations to help answer questions now one has answers too. Helping and healing a lot of hurting hearts in the community. I am very glad and excited to begin this experience!!!

Hannah Higgins

I am Hannah Higgins’s, I’m part of the senior class at ji this year. I have been involved in softball at ji for 5 years now, I am a pitcher, 1st baseman, and outfielder. If I’m not at school I am either training for softball or working as a host and food runner at fams brewing on James island. My plans for the future is to extend my softball and academic career at USC Salk and major in nursing to one day become a pediatric oncologist. I love sports, I love my friends, and most of all I love my family that have been beside me through this whole ride of life.

Jesse Kemp

My name is Jesse Kemp and I am so excited to be running for Homecoming Queen at James Island. I feel like I would be a great choice for a Homecoming Queen because I am kind hearted, generous, and full of school spirit! I have been a part of the wrestling team for almost three years now and have loved every second of it. During my first year wrestling at JI, I won state as not only the first girl ever at James Island but as another state champion at JI, after 20 years. After winning state, the amount of love I got from the school was amazing and filled my heart. In my free time, I love going to my Crossfit gym or going hunting with my dad. After I graduate from high school, I'm planning to go to Paul Mitchell's hair and cosmetology school. As I was growing up, I developed a passion and love for doing hair. I want to make sure when people leave my salon chair they are fully in love with their new look. I am so excited for this opportunity, this will for sure be something I never forget.

Isabelle Jordan

Hey Trojans, I'm Isabelle Jordan! I’m a captain on the varsity volleyball team, and a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. This is my eighth year playing volleyball and along with that I love to be outdoors, hangout with my friends and family, and shopping. I love staying involved in all the activities and going all out to support JICHS. In the student council, I'm a part of the spirit team and love sharing my ideas and yours to the rest of the members to ensure everyone has the chance to be involved.

Throughout high school I’ve kept up with my classes, and in the future I hope to attend Clemson University and major in Graphic Communications or Marketing.

Re'Ana Barrentine

Hey Trojans! My name is Re’Ana Barrentine, and I am absolutely honored to be a member of the 2021 Homecoming Court! Four years ago, when my parents and I decided that James Island Charter was the place for me, I hit the ground running! In my freshman year, there was much to learn. Navigating the hallways, and learning how to approach this new, passionate group of peers to make new friends, was a daunting task. Just being a freshman all over again (leaving senior status as a big time eighth grader) made it a real challenge! As the first year progressed to sophomore then junior, things became a lot clearer. Yes. I knew my way around, and made amazing friends along the way, but there were so many opportunities to learn and grow. Along with the help of great teachers, mentors, and administrators, I got involved! I am so grateful to currently serve as President of the UBASA Association, Captain of the JICHS Dance Team prior to merger, one of your JICHS Cheer Team Captains, member of the Charleston County Education Innovation and Research Design Group, Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy, The JICHS Gospel Choir, and the National Society for High School Scholars. My parents have always taught me the value of kindness, manners, respect, and service to others. I take these lessons with me as I serve the community in various ways, give to less fortunate children, and work with the Youth Volunteer Corps of Charleston. I also take these lessons with me as I move forward. I am so excited to meet even more of my fellow JI Trojans in the coming days, as we prepare for Homecoming! You have been such an inspiration to me – whether it’s just an excited conversation in the courtyard, or the fight song after a touchdown, you have lifted me in ways that you will never know. The friends that I’ve made, and the people that I’ve met, will forever be ingrained in who I become, and in my fondest memories. I ask you to continue the excitement, and the Homecoming Hype with a vote for me.
