The CCSD teacher recruiters have many years of experience as dedicated public educators. Their time in education varies from classroom instruction, teacher evaluation, teacher mentoring, instructional coaching, curriculum work, professional development and school administration. The team consist of two elementary recruiters, a middle school recruiter and a high school recruiter. Teacher recruitment begins in August researching hiring trends within CCSD for the upcoming school year. Based on these findings, recruiters travel from September through May to find the best possible teaching talent for Charleston County. Year round teacher recruiters are interviewing, clearing, and hiring teachers for CCSD. Much of their time is also spent networking with colleges/universities and local high schools to ensure future teachers are recruited. The CCSD teacher recruiters strive to be a smiling, service oriented team. Please let us know how we can assist you with your teacher hiring needs!

Partnering with schools and departments, we determine hiring need; analyze recruiting efforts, identifying alternate ways of recruiting for hard to fill positions; respond to questions and concerns related to processes related to hiring classified staff; serve on interview panels; work with HR staff and new employees to ensure onboarding is successful; oversee the Classified Non-Exempt Evaluation process, oversee annual issuance of the Letters of Intent and partner with Employee Relations to address questions or concerns that arise with classified employees.

We understand and respect the important role administrative and classified non-exempt staff play in supporting the district’s mission and goals. We’re here for your classified staffing needs…let us know how we can help!
