Education Background:
Dr. Gilden began her teaching career in Memphis, Tennessee where she spent eight years teaching middle school math. In 2019, she and her family moved to Mount Pleasant, where she spent two years teaching math in Wando's Freshman Academy before joining the leadership team at Moultrie Middle School as an Assistant Administrator. Dr. Gilden came back home to Wando in 2023 as an Assistant Principal.
Hometown: Born in Birmingham, Alabama but grew up in Memphis, Tennessee
Personal Background: Dr. Gilden and her family relocated back to her husband's hometown of Mount Pleasant after having their son Maddux. He is now 7 years old and involved in multiple sports. If you attend any Wando sporting event, you will see him cheering for our Warriors!
Outside Interests: Dr. Gilden loves spending time at sporting events or on the water!
