We are have surpassed 136, 000 minutes read in the CCSD 30 million minute Reading challenge. This week's Top Readers are; Anderson Mayan Rivas, Caleb Scott, Antoine Brown-King and our 9th Grade Scholars. We are at 50% of our EOY reading goal.
Cadets, Teachers, and Parents please be sure to log your reading time in Beanstack. We want to take home the reading trophy.

a. Cadets must have an emergency card on file to participate in school-sponsored field trips.
b. 7th graders must have a Tdap vaccine on file. Please submit an updated SC Immunization Certificate or the Pediatrician or Health Department appointment date and time. If you choose the health department, call the SC DHEC Appointment Line at 1-855-472-3432.
c. Many of our students will be getting gifts over the holidays that can cause harm to their fellow students. Please have your child(ren) refrain from using perfume, cologne, body sprays or scented lotions for school due to the high percentage of students and staff with allergies and asthma. Please instruct your children to keep all of these items at home. We welcome good hygiene with soap and deodorant and ask that fragrances be saved for special occasions. Thank you.
CCSD Policy Reminders
1. Parents, if your child is vomiting, they are to remain home until 24 hours without vomiting has passed.
2. Students with a fever of 100.0 or higher may not return to school until 24 hours without fever has passed and they are not taking fever-reducing medication. Please submit a written parent note or medical note to our office staff to explain absence(s).
3. Do not allow or encourage your students to carry over the counter medications to school. Only life saving medications with a doctor's order on file are permitted.

a. JR Cadet IGP Meetings will continue this week. IGP meetings can be attended via "in-person, Zoom, or phone"

All JROTC Cadet Scholars ONLY need to wear their PT Uniforms to complete testing. ALL Other Cadets, should be in their Monday Dress Uniform.
Cadet S/O to TalonSkies and Robotics cadets, as they will be the lone representative for the state of SC at the United States Governors Cup, being held February 20–21, 2026, at the historic DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.

SEAT TIME - Edgenuity login informaiton will begin for scholars. Additionally, December 20, 2025 compassion closet, will be a Principal Waiver day. Dr. Perrineau will approve hours for those that attend.

Parents Remember to bring your state ID or passport inside to complete the late sign-in or early sign-out process in the main office.
Absence Documentation: Parent notes and Medical excuses need to be submitted on the correct form within 72 hours (3 Days) of the absence to excuse the absence.Emails and Phone calls are NOT legal excuses for absences or early pickup.
Tardiness Concerns: Unexcused tardiness places families at risk for Attendance Interventions, and may lead to a recommendation for your cadet’s return to their homeschool. (CCSD provided transportation delays are excused.)
