Important Dates for Spring 2025 Textbook Selection

Spring/Summer 2024State vets options to adopt for ELA and other courses

Fall 2024- State provides opportunities for public feedback

January 2025- State Office of Instructional Materials announces their adopted textbook titles for selected courses

January 2025- CCSD Curriculum Specialists create selection committees with representatives from each school

January 2025- CCSD Textbooks requests samples from state-approved publishers- round 1

February, 2025- State offers regional Textbook Caravan in the Lowcountry (held at TTC)

February-March - teachers review state-state approved materials using rubrics provided by CCSD's Curriculum & Instruction department

February-March - all schools provide an opportunity for families and the public to review materials at the school

February- District Public Review event in the CCSD Board Room

March - District Textbook Selection Committees meet and discuss teacher feedback and review public feedback

April - District Instructional Specialists make recommendations to take to the Committee of the Whole

April - Committee of the Whole review of textbook recommendations

April- CCSD Board of Trustees approval of textbook recommendations

Spring/Summer 2025- Textbook coordinators at each school order new Board approved materials from the state
